Ombak KLCC is a new destination within the 100-acre Kuala Lumpur City Centre precinct, where business, culture, creativity and city life meet. Envisioned as a living canvas, it brings together art, retail and public experience in a setting shaped to feel open, fluid and distinctly of the city.
Its architectural language is drawn not only from movement, but from the idea of the
weave. Inspired by the balance and intricacy of woven form, Ombak KLCC is shaped
through flowing bands that wrap, reveal and connect, giving the building a sculptural
presence that feels both contemporary and grounded within the KLCC precinct.
At the heart of this expression is GALERI PETRONAS, conceived as a cantilevered
gallery that extends art into the public realm. More than a gallery, it creates a visible
and thoughtful interface between artistic practice and the city, inviting meaningful
encounters between artists, audiences and the evolving urban landscape.
Designed to engage both park and skyline, Ombak KLCC unfolds as a place of
discovery, connection and shared experience. From its sheltered plaza and art-facing
soffit to its roof garden and views towards the PETRONAS Twin Towers, it is shaped as
a destination to be explored, returned to and remembered.
Inspired by The Weave
Ombak KLCC takes its design direction from the craft of weaving, where structure and expression move as one. The building’s flowing bands are shaped to wrap around the podium, creating a form that feels smooth, layered and continuous. This gives Ombak its distinctive identity: a contemporary architectural gesture that is at once elegant, sculptural and full of movement.
A Landmark Shaped for the City
The interwoven form does more than define the façade. It shapes the cantilevered gallery, frames a sheltered public plaza, integrates key arrival points, and opens onto a landscaped roof garden with views towards the PETRONAS Twin Towers.
